Privacy Policy for MotherCare

Application Name: MotherCare (মাদারকেয়ার) | Developer: abswer.com

Effective Date: September 24, 2026 | Last Updated: September 24, 2026

Privacy Commitment: At MotherCare, we recognize the supreme sensitivity of maternal, pregnancy, and infant health data. We are dedicated to providing a safe, privacy-first, and transparent mobile experience. This policy discloses our strict offline-first architecture, Google AdMob monetization, cloud backup, and data protection practices.

1. Overview & Offline-First Philosophy

MotherCare ("we", "our", or "the App") is developed and maintained by abswer.com. The App provides pregnant mothers and families with pregnancy week-by-week tracking, fetal development guides, contraction timers, fetal kick counters, blood pressure recording, weight monitoring, medicine schedules, hydration reminders, and Islamic maternal resources.

Key Architectural Guarantee: MotherCare is built on a 100% Offline-First Architecture. We do not own, maintain, or operate any centralized database or cloud server that collects, stores, or analyzes your personal health logs. All sensitive medical information entered into the App resides strictly on your local device.

2. Information We Handle

A. Sensitive Personal & Maternal Health Data (Stored Locally Only)

You may voluntarily log information within the App to track your pregnancy journey, including:

  • Maternal Profile: Mother's name, baby's expected name, blood group, pre-pregnancy weight, and height.
  • Gestational Dates: Last Menstrual Period (LMP), Expected Due Date (EDD), and cycle lengths.
  • Health & Vitals Logs: Blood pressure readings, pulse, weight measurements, fetal kick counts, and labor contraction intervals.
  • Medical & Lifestyle Schedules: Doctor appointments, medicine schedules, hydration logs, lab test records, and pregnancy journal entries.
Strict Confidentiality: None of this sensitive health information is ever transmitted to abswer.com, sold to third parties, or shared with advertising partners.

B. Automatically Collected Technical & Analytical Data

When you download, install, and interact with the App, standard technical and diagnostic data may be collected automatically by third-party SDKs to ensure stability and maintain app quality:

  • Device & Network Information: Device model, manufacturer, Android operating system version, mobile network information, and language preferences.
  • Crash & Performance Diagnostics: Anonymous stack traces, crash timestamps, and memory status collected via Google Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose bugs and prevent crashes.
  • Anonymous App Analytics: Aggregated feature interactions (e.g., screens viewed, button clicks) collected via Google Firebase Analytics to improve application usability.

3. Advertising Disclosures (Google AdMob)

To keep MotherCare free, accessible, and continuously maintained for mothers and families worldwide, we may display advertisements powered by Google AdMob and its mediation partners.

Google AdMob may collect and process certain device-level information to deliver, measure, and optimize advertising services:

  • Google Advertising ID (AAID): A user-resettable, unique advertising identifier provided by Google Play Services.
  • IP Address & Approximate Location: Used to deliver geographically appropriate or language-specific ads (e.g., country or city level).
  • Ad Interaction Metrics: Information regarding ad impressions, clicks, views, and completion rates.
  • Device Identifiers & Cookies: Technical diagnostic telemetry used by Google for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and bot detection.
Health Data Protection Notice: In strict compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Google AdMob Advertising Standards, your sensitive maternal health records (such as blood pressure, contractions, kicks, and gestational age) are NEVER shared with Google AdMob or any advertisers. Advertisements are served independently of your private medical entries.

Your Choices & Opting Out of Personalized Ads

You have full control over interest-based advertising on your Android device at any time:

  • Reset or Delete Your Advertising ID: Go to your device Settings > Google > Ads and select "Reset advertising ID" or "Delete advertising ID".
  • Opt Out of Personalized Ads: Toggle on "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in Google settings.
  • Google Ad Settings: Manage your advertising preferences across Google services by visiting Google Ad Settings.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted industry-standard third-party providers that have their own privacy policies governing their collection and handling of information:

5. Google Drive Cloud Backup & Sync (Optional)

MotherCare provides an optional, user-initiated Google Drive Cloud Backup feature:

  • Strictly Scoped AppData Folder: The App uses the official Google Drive drive.appdata scope. This is a private, hidden application configuration folder inside your personal Google account.
  • Zero Developer Access: Your backup file is stored exclusively within your own personal Google Cloud account. The developers of MotherCare cannot access, view, download, or decrypt your backup.
  • Explicit User Action: Backup and restore procedures are performed only upon your direct tap, and can be disconnected at any time via Settings > Disconnect Google Account.

6. Data Security & Storage

We prioritize the security of your information through multiple defensive measures:

  • All local database operations utilize Android's secure Room/SQLite framework with sandboxed application permissions.
  • All external communications (such as crash telemetry and Drive synchronization) strictly occur over encrypted, industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
  • No user accounts, passwords, or authentication credentials are stored on developer servers.

7. Data Deletion & User Rights

Because we do not store your data on external servers, you maintain absolute, total control over your records:

  • In-App Clear All Data: You can permanently wipe all logs, journals, kicks, contractions, and profiles instantly by navigating to Settings > Data Reset > Clear All Records.
  • Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling MotherCare from your Android device immediately purges all local databases and cached application files from device storage.
  • Deleting Cloud Backups: You can delete your Drive backup directly within the App or through your personal Google Drive management settings.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Family Policy Compliance)

MotherCare is designed for expectant mothers, pregnant women, postpartum caregivers, and adult parents. It is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Important Medical Disclaimer:
MotherCare is designed solely as an informational, tracking, and educational assistant. It is NOT a certified medical device and should never be used as a replacement for professional clinical judgment, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified obstetrician, gynecologist, or healthcare professional regarding any pregnancy complications or medical questions.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, changes in regulatory legislation, or updates to third-party SDK guidelines. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
